Our 16-day itinerary takes you end to end around Uganda to experience its remarkable people, food, wildlife and places.

Day 1

We will meet you upon arrival at the Entebbe airport, and then drive to the hotel in Kampala for briefing, and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, we will drive to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This incredible place is home to the only southern white rhinos in Uganda. We will go trekking to view them in their natural habitat. After lunch, we will depart for Murchison Falls, the largest national park in Uganda.

Early morning game drive to view Jackson’s hartebeests, kobs, giraffes, and lions. In the afternoon, we will take a boat ride on the Albertine Nile. The Delta is home to hippos, crocodiles, and birds. Murchison is a treasure trove of birdlife, with over 450 species.

We will take an early morning hike to the top of Murchison Falls, a walking safari at the lodge, then an all day game drive.

Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park

Morning departure to Kidepo Valley in northeast Uganda. This magnificent place was voted as one of the top safari destinations in Africa by CNN Travel. Kidepo has 470 species of birds, the second highest population following Queen Elizabeth.

Morning and afternoon game drive through Kidepo Valley to experience the spectacular wildlife, including elephants, lions, leopards, mongooses, reptiles giraffes, and the largest concentration of the formidable cape buffalo.

Morning and afternoon game drives, then a visit to the Karamojong cultural centre located near the park. We will have the opportunity to experience the vibrant traditional dance of the Karamojong ethnic group. They are nomadic pastoralists that have a proud warrior culture.

Day 8

Drive to Moroto and spend the night in Soroti

Drive to Moroto and spend the night in Soroti

Lunch in the town of Moroto, we will visit Mt. Moroto, then head to Soroti to see Lake Kyoga, and the granite rock formations. Overnight stay in the city.

We will continue are journey to Sipi to see the magnificent waterfalls found on the foothills of Mt. Elgon. There are 3 waterfalls here, each flowing from a different altitude. Our trip includes a visit to the Arabica coffee farms, and the processing centre where we will roast, grind, and drink this delicious coffee.

We will return to Kampala to see some of the highlights of the city, then an overnight stay.

Drive to Lake Mburo National Park

Morning drive to the Equator crossing point. We will enjoy a traditional Ugandan meal at a village in the Mpigi district, then depart to Lake Mburo National Park. We will take an evening nature walk by the lodge.

This national park is a true gem, and will give us the opportunity so see families of giraffes, zebras, olive baboons, antelopes, and the comical wart hogs. We will take a boat ride on the lake to see the spectacular wildlife.

Day 13

After an early breakfast, we will drive to Queen Elizabeth, following the Rwenzori Mountain Range. This incredible place is the second largest national park in Uganda, and has 95 species of mammals. The wildlife here is diverse, and there are opportunities to see lions, elephants, hyenas, antelopes, and 10 species of primates. There are over 600 bird species recorded in this park, including the sought after Shoebill.

Queen Elizabeth morning game drive and boat ride on Kazinga Channel

We will embark on a morning game drive to see the tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. In the afternoon, we will take a boat ride to see an oasis of wildlife in the Kazinga Channel. This place is teeming with wildlife, which includes elephants, hippos, crocodiles, cape buffalo, a variety of birdlife, and much more.

Drive to Queen Elizabeth’s Explosion Crater Lake and Kyambura Gorge

Drive to Queen Elizabeth’s Explosion Crater Lake and Kyambura Gorge

Morning drive to the stunning crater lakes, and mountainous views while enjoying a variety of hot teas. In the afternoon, we will visit the Kyambura Gorge to experience spectacular vistas across the vast savannah, and will end the day with a trek to see the chimpanzees.

Day 16

Drive back to Kampala

Day 16

Drive back to Kampala

Our journey will end with a drive back to Uganda’s capital.
